How do I import data from an existing directory into eDirectory?
We have a range of import scripts available, and experience importing from a variety of data sources. If you have the data, we'll find a way to import it. Contact us for more information.
Can I export my directory Data?
Absolutely - It's your data so export it any time you wish. You can export the data any time you wish to XML or Microsoft Excel from the eDirectory site manager.
I already have a website. Can eDirectory match the layout and style?
Yes. eDirectory is fully customizable. It can be designed to fully match your existing site.
I don't have a website. Do I need to get one before I can purchase eDirectory?
No. eDirectory is a hosted solution. It runs in our servers freeing you from worrying about hardware, bandwidth, and backups. We'll host the other parts of your site in addition to your directory, and we have a talented team of designers and developers at your disposal.
How many listings can eDirectory handle?
Whether your directory contains two hundred listings or two million, eDirectory is the right solution. eDirectory has been optimized for fast searches on all sized directories.
Who owns the data in my Directory?
You do. Export your data any time.
How much does eDirectory Cost?
eDirectory is reasonably priced, however pricing depends on which modules are included. Please contact us today for a free price quote.
How can I print a copy of my directory?
With eDirectory's PDF module you can export your directory into PDF format for printing. We'll customize the design and format for you, and you can export and print any time you wish. We also work with a print shop and can handle all your directory printing needs. Please contact us today for more information.
My directory contains highly valued information. How do I restrict access?
With our user management features you can have individual user accounts and password protect your directory. This allows you to charge subscription fees for access to the directory.
I need additional features that are not in the feature list. Can eDirectory be customized?
Absolutely. eDirectory is a flexible software framework designed for fast, low cost customization. Our development team has built numerous web applications and many of our clients use us for all their development needs.
What does it mean when you say eDirectory is a hosted solution?
We host your directory on our servers. You are free from the worries of hardware, software patches, and backups. Our servers are located in a secure data center with a direct connection to the internet, backup power generators, and regular data backups. Either we configure a sub domain for your directory such as http://directory.yourdomain.com, or we host your whole site on our servers. Either way provides a seamless link from the user's point of view.
What payment gateways work with eDirectory?
PayPal, PayFlow, LinkPoint, Authorize.net, 2CheckOut, WorldPay and PSIGate.
Note: We can customize eDirectory to work with additional payment gateways and they will be quoted separately on a hourly basis.
How long does it take from the time I purchase eDirectory for my site to go live?
It depends on the level of complexity and functionality your directory requires. If you plan to stick with the standard "template" directory it usually takes up to 5 business days. If you require extensive changes and customizations the delivery timeline will be provided along with a quote specific to your project.
If I purchase the monthly service version (Basic or eCommerce) is there a discount if I want to upgrade to an Owned License at a later date?
Yes, it is standard to apply 10% off each month of service to the purchase of the Owned License (up to $1,000.00).
